DCPU (Disruptive Camoflage Pattern Uniform-'s) i did this as a painting guide to different space marine scout uniforms, if they are coloured this way they are less likely to be seen rather than in some of the chapter colours ed: Ultramarines, blood angels, imperal fists etc.
still trying to decide what patterning to paint mine in....
Really interesting colour designs in the thumbnail the parade one looks like he is wearing speedos but when I saw it on full veiw I saw the pockets and stuff.
Is there some of hurdle in painting the armor the same color as the trousers, sleeves and such. The various sudden changes within the uniform would draw attention from eyes as very little in nature follows such drastic change. Also for all uniforms would some headgear be a drawback, not only to slow down stop projectile based weapons but also to break up the outline of the head which is another huge attention getter.
Onto each uniform:
Parade (would "dress" sound to weak in this aspect?)
Tan bandoiler, elbow and upper leg areas perhaps tp close to flesh color at a distance.
Where would award, unit designations go? (Upper Left Shoulder, perhaps but with that large of a standing army it owuld be impossible to have nough designations for each corps let alone battalion and such down...)
Are those weapons on each hip? I could see maybe a pistol used for watch standing but not for most ceremonies
Also seems bulky to take on and off and march precosely in.
Urban: Very Badass looking, outstanding!
Could perhaps be a little lighter on plating since the eye focuses on dark things at a distance better. IMHO lighter > darker i.e. ARPAT vs. MARPAT as much as I hate to admit it as a devildog.
Can he get to all his weapons quick enough? I don't see any loadbearing stuff ( maybe the stuff under upper right pauldron? )
Desert:
Boots/pouches would absorb too much light, and thus heat up.
Smaller splotches perhaps?
A little light green for vegetation (desert scrub) maybe...
Swamp/Forest:
Perhaps too bright overall?
there is no place to add vegetation and such to break up outline...
Nightworld:
This might sound insane but lighter on this variant quite a bit think washed out black as at night its harder to pick out dark gray than black (but that might just be me) also is blue necessary? IHNI...
Snow/Ice:
Is it reflective, make sure it isn't...
Otherwise I haven't learned much about artic/winter fighting, So I can't exactly help...
Nice designs... However if you have the Codex you'd have read that the Space Marines believe in showing their armour colours with pride, striding into battle impressively, and they do not believe in distruptive patterns.
Also, going into more lore: Space Marines believe that any 'defacing' of the armour's colouring or iconography will anger the armours machine spirit. Of course exceptions are when a Marine is inducted into the Deathwatch company, painting his armour pure black, leaving the chapter shoulder plate in its original state.

Apart from that; Interesting idea for Marines man.
